March was a quick month for me! Did anyone else feel like it flew right out the door as soon as it got here? I can’t believe we’re heading into April already.
Let’s take a look at some of the things that went on this month. I had no orders to complete, so mostly I got to play around with yarn, work on a couple of new patterns, and make a thing or two for myself…
Mostly, I'm moving
To be perfectly honest, I’ve been spending most of my time and energy on this move! You know I’m moving my shop, right? Yup, the LYS is moving a whopping four whole doors down the sidewalk from where we are right now, and it is taking so much more “doing” than I had anticipated. I wasn’t thinking that a 20 yard move is still a WHOLE MOVE with fees, and deposits, and installs, and all of the forms to keep my shop legal.
I’m so thankful for all the help I’m getting. More people have offered themselves to help than I ever would have expected. My dad has done the painting of the new place almost single-handedly. I’ve had to place so many huge orders for new stuff because I’ve got easily double the retail space to fill! It’s been a fun and crazy time, and hasn’t left me a whole lot of time to mess around, know what I mean? But we’re getting there.
Spring Specials & Customs opens on April 1st, and the new shop has the Grand Reopen on April 6. Once we’ve partied through these things, we should get back to new normal. Thanks for sticking around and showing your support for my little business. You all mean the world to me ♥
