Ice dyed wool yarn “Graphic”
If you followed along on my learning to ice dye adventure, then you saw this skein of gorgeous speckled yarn in the making! I present to you, “Graphic,” my first ever ice dyed yarn. This yarn was sent to me in a trade from a sweet lady on Ravelry and it came unlabeled.
It is a fingering-weight, single ply yarn (more on yarn weights here) and it is most definitely wool. What’s the breed? Well…. I have no idea. Silky and smooth and very soft, with the customary bounce that wool has to offer as well as the smoothness of single ply, this yarn is amazing. Perfect for a cowl, a shawlette, or even a matching hat and mitts!
To dye this yarn, I used Jacquard acid dyes in Emerald, Chartreuse, Turquoise, Sky, Sun Yellow, and Black. White vinegar was used to prep the yarn, so a slight vinegar smell upon opening is totally normal. The first time you wash the yarn or item, it will go away.
This item is in stock and ready to ship. Are you on the lookout for stocking stuffers or holiday gifts? Lots of lovely things can be found here in my stocking stuffers listings!
